BABY PETTY'S NURSERY REVEAL

NURSERY DETAILS + LINKS

I am so excited to finally share Rivi’s nursery with you guys! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me post little glimpses of her room here and there. I’ve had so many questions about where I’ve gotten everything, so I’m sharing all of her nursery with you, links included, throughout this post. This room has been so special to create. Our house is pretty minimal and very neutral so I knew I wanted to keep that same vibe for her room. Simple + natural yet still have some pops of color for our girl. I also kept it very minimal. Like very. I hope you love it just as much as we do.

FURNITURE

We stuck with just the essentials for furniture. Her nursery isn’t the biggest so we really didn’t have tons of room to work with. I didn’t want to go too overboard with furniture and it be too crowded and overdone.

CRIB- The crib was a big thing for me and one of the main things we were willing to splurge on. We wanted the safest option for our girl since she would eventually be spending a lot of time sleeping there- she’s currently sleeping in her bassinet beside our bed. We chose The Oeuf Sparrow Crib in Birch. I loved the natural look of it but also how safe it was. It’s non-toxic, Greenguard Gold certified, made of real birch wood and free of all chemical emissions. These were all super important to me. It’s a solid, sturdy neutral piece that will last us through each of our babies so it was easy to justify for us.

DRESSER- I decided to use the dresser as the changing table and place her changing basket + pad up top. I chose this Ikea Tarva 6-Drawer Chest and it works perfectly. It’s simple + cheap and keeps the natural look I wanted.

RECLINER- This was another splurge for us but everyone told us a good reclining/rocking chair for the nursery was worth every penny so we went for it. After testing out tons of recliners and gliders (honestly, it’s kind of insane how many options are out there), we went with the Pottery Barn Paxton Swivel Glider & Recliner. It’s a recliner and a glider in one- yes please. I loved the modern look of it, plus Bryce could actually fit in it, which was a win in itself. We chose the linen blend fabric in white. Rivi loves rocking in the chair so it’s been totally worth it. Again, we’re planning on this lasting us through all the babies.

PRINTS- I love Earthy elements and wanted to incorporate that somehow into her nursery. I thought prints would be a fun way but also wanted them to be meaningful to us. I didn’t want just random prints. Bryce and I love the ocean— baby girl’s name is actually derived from water, so we chose some prints that relate to water and the ocean for her. Each print has a backstory and has a specific reason why it was chosen. I plan on doing another post about the backstory of each so y’all can see just how special they really are! I found the Print Designer of each of these prints on Etsy and she is the sweetest and so talented. I really love her vibe. Be looking out for a collaboration we have coming soon ;)

BEDDING

CRIB MATTRESS- Anything dealing with sleep, I had an opinion about. I wanted organic, non-toxic, breathable and something that would allow the best environment for her sleep. I wanted something that I would feel totally safe about. You can’t put a price on peace of mind, in my opinion. The Naturepedic Lightweight Crib Mattress won me over because it checked all the boxes. It’s super lightweight and fits perfectly in her crib.

CRIB SHEETS- Burt’s Bees Organic Cotton Crib Sheets | Natemia Organic Cotton Fitted Crib Sheets

ORGANIZATION

DRAWER ORGANIZERS- These are key for an organized diaper drawer. I wanted to make sure her dresser/changing table was as organized as possible and not have a million baby products just floating around in the drawer. I found these at the Container Store and love them. I liked that they were clear plus they’re super easy to install. Keeps everything nice and neat! Rivi’s drawers are sadly neater than mine.

CLOSET
